Gretchen Lovelace

Lovelace and Associates is a recognized and established dental practice appraiser, brokerage, and consulting firm located in the southeastern United States. Founder and president Gretchen Ohlmeyer Lovelace, M.S., CFP, CPM, has been valuating and transitioning dental practices for over 25 years, though her business and dental experience extends even further. Gretchen received degrees in microbiology and food science before going on to teach at the University of New Orleans and perform microbiology research at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. She became a certified financial planner in 1991 and received her certification in practice management. For the last 19 years she has been a guest lecturer at the LSU Dental School and for other national and local organizations. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association and the Institute of Business Appraisers. She is also a licensed realtor, notary, and an affiliate of Professional Practice Consultants.

Preston Lovelace likewise has a wealth of experience that he brings to Lovelace and Associates. Preston received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry and applied mathematics at Hampden-Sydney College, and then went on to receive his master’s degree in chemistry and his juris doctorate from the University of Illinois. He is currently a member of the Louisiana state and U.S. Patent bars. He has worked as a transition specialist with Lovelace and Associates since 2005. He often addresses dental associations on his areas of expertise, and he was a featured speaker at the ADA’S 2013 annual session on practice transitions.
