Peter holds degrees in accounting, general business, and finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He worked as an accountant with several successful private companies, including General Binding Company, Lane Hotels, Lane Aviation, Secret Communication, and others. He earned his CPA degree in 1996 just before joining ADS Midwest. Peter is a member and past president of ADS, a licensed real estate and business broker, a certified valuation analyst, and a member of the Practice Valuation Study Group.

He contributes articles frequently to Dental Economics, Illinois Dental News, and the Chicago Dental Review. He is an adjunct faculty member at Midwestern Dental School, and he lectures regularly to dental practitioners and students at meetings of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentists, and others.
